I’m Back!

It’s been almost a year since I’ve updated my blog!!! Time flies when you are having fun! I’m going to try to do better and keep this updated mostly for my sake!! I finally have my life somewhat back together after having a baby. It only took me a year…. Things are going really well. Madi is 4. She is in dance, soccer, and preschool right now. She loves them all!! She loves to imagine that she is in different movies. Right now she is in Camp Rock 2. She has quite the imagination!

Beau is 1! I cannot believe it! She is so funny and loves her big sister. She says “HI” to everyone and, just like her big sister, loves to be the center of attention. She just learned how to walk, and she toddles everywhere now! She is so fun to watch! She loves to wrestle with her daddy and can have quite the attitude. She will take on anyone, no matter what size! We call her our brute, and Beauzilla!

Brian is working hard as usual. He just got back from hunting in Utah, and has another deer hunt here in about a month. He cracks me up!

I’m still watching my nephews and niece. They are getting big! I’m going to Medical Transcription school and have a couple months left! I can’t wait to be done! Other than that I just chase two little girls around, try to come up with craft projects, and find/cook new recipes!

Baby Beau Is Here!

Beau was born Aug. 31st at 1:22pm. She weighed 8lbs 9oz!!! And was 4 days early! Dr. Tindall induced me because I had been having contractions for about a month and was dilated to a 4. We had to be at the hospital at 3:00 am (yes that's right people) to start some meds because I was group B strep positive and had to have 3 bags of penicillin before he could break my water. At 9am he broke my water and contractions kicked up a notch! I got my epidural and a half hour later was ready to push! 2 contractions and 6 pushes later, my sweet Beau was born!!!! I couldn't believe how fast everything went. I was only in labor 4 hours with no pitocin!! I couldn't have asked for a better delivery! We thought she looked just like Madi at first, but she is now getting her own little look. She is such a good baby!
Madi was so excited to meet her baby sister! She can't leave her alone! Poor Beau is going to have to get use to getting a million kisses a day from her big sis.!

Just a quick update!! I have been to the hospital twice now for having contractions every 2 minutes, but they are just from being dehydrated since I can barely keep anything down. I am dilated to a 4 though and still having "true labor" contractions but the Doctor isn't wanting to do anything to progress my labor until I'm at least 39 weeks. So for now I'm just drinking like crazy and trying to keep everything down. It is so frustrating and I wish they would just get her out, but I'm sure it's for the best and I would feel horrible if she came too soon! It's so hard to wait!

I love the band Lifehouse! I think I've been to most of their concerts in the valley. So this last weekend they played after the Diamondbacks game and my mom and dad were so awesome and kind enough to get us all tickets to it! We had so much fun! Even Madi went and had a blast! I think she liked the game better than the concert. She danced and cheered her little heart out! Thanks again Mom and Dad!!!

Wool Festival

Every year, the first weekend in June, we go to Flagstaff for the wool festival. You might be thinking "Why?", well I will tell you! Brian has a little known talent, Sheep Sheering! It's not his favorite thing to do, but they make it worth it to come every year. It's actually a very interesting place to be too. There are many Different people there! Madi had a blast! They had two 6 day old black lambs right by us and she sat there all day petting them! She wants one so bad, but I don't think so!

We went to Show Low Lake one evening and had a blast! We took Brian's dad's boat, which Madi thought was so cool, and caught 6 fish! We had more bites but didn't quite get them in the boat! It was so fun though and the weather was perfect!

Brian graduated his Fire Fighter class a couple weeks ago and he could not be happier it's over!! Me too, it's nice to have him home on Monday and Thursday nights! He is still going to be Show Low's mechanic, but now if they need him too he can go on fires or cover shifts.

It's a GIRL!!!!!! We went in for our ultrasound today and right off the bat she said it's a girl. The more and more she looked she said she was sure. So girl number 2 is on the way! Madi is so excited to have a little sis! She's been telling us all along that it is a girl. She was right! Brian and I are so excited too! Brian says he's going to make her his hunting buddy, but we'll see about that with a girly, girl big sister like Madi!

Dad Update

Easter Sunday my dad was put in the hospital for chest pains. Monday they did an angiogram and found out he needed a triple bypass!!!! We were in California when all of this happened, so I flew home for a day to see him right before surgery. He made me promise to fly back and go to Disneyland with my family, so I did but was worried the whole time! Anyways he ended up having 5 clogged arteries!!!!! He is doing great though, and the doctors say he will feel like a new man when he heals! We are just so blessed and thankful that the doctors were able to find out what was going on before he had a heart attack. The doctors said if he were to have a heart attack before the arteries were fixed he would have died. He is still in the hospital but should be out sometime this week!

California Vacation!

This last week we went to California for a little family vacation! We had so much fun! We stayed in San Diego for a couple days and went to Sea World, and then went to Lavern and went to Disneyland! Brian has family that lives in both places and they were so kind enough to let us stay with them.

Disneyland was a zoo though! I couldn't believe how many people were there on a Wednesday! So we didn't get to go on that many rides because each one we had to wait at least 45 min or longer!! All in all it was a good trip and Madi can't stop talking about it!

It's been awhile! Life is crazy as ever! But everything is going good! The baby is growing like it's suppose to and we will find out April 20th what we are having!!!! YAY!!! We are excited!

Brian is working like crazy, but we are going to Disneyland soon so it will be nice for all of us to get away for awhile. And Madi is in her terrible 3's!! My sister in law Amy said that 3 is worse than 2 and I really didn't believe her until now! Holy Crap! I don't know what to do with her some days!

Anyways, Madi did swimming lessons at the beginning of March. The first day didn't go so well, she jumped in and thought she should be able to swim. Yeah, it didn't work and scared her, so she didn't want to go back. I made her the next day and then you couldn't get her out of the pool. She loved it! She still wants to go back everyday. Here are a couple pic's of the event!

Today is Madi's 3 year old Birthday! I can not believe it! We love that little girl so much and she is such a joy to our family! She keeps us laughing and always busy! Happy Birthday Madi!!!

It is also my little sis. Brianne's Birthday today! What are the chances that I would have a baby on the same day. But I did and I don't think she minds! She's a good sport! So, Happy Birthday Brianne. We love you too!

We had Madi's Birthday party last Saturday at her Granny and Boppy's. So here are some pictures.

She wanted a Wendy Party, as in Wendy from Peter Pan, So Brandy had one of her friends make her some Wendy Jammies and they turned out so cute!! Madi is still wearing them as we speak!

It's Official!

I've been wait to do this for certain reasons, and a lot of people already know, but I'm going to make it official! I'M PREGNANT!!!!! We are so excited! I'm 12 weeks and we heard the heartbeat today, so I think we are pretty safe to finally announce it! My due date is September 4th. Madi is way excited! She went with us today to the Dr. and she thought we were getting the baby today. She was a little disappointed. But she said she liked the babies bump, bump.

I'm doing this a little early but I'm going to be out of town for awhile, but on February 20th Brian and I will be married for 5 years!!!! That is so crazy to me! I can't believe it! We aren't going to be together on the 20th, so we had a Valentine/ Anniversary get-a-way! We went to Alpine and stayed at the Tal-Wi-Wi Lodge. (yes that's what it's called) Every time we go to Alpine we say we should stay there. So this year I decided we should. It is a very old place and definitely not a 5 star hotel, but it was an experience! I don't know if I would go there again, but it was fun for a one time thing!

Ode To New Kids on the Block

It's been awhile since I've posted anything! We are alive and doing good! Anyways anyone who knew me when I was little knows that me, my sister Brandy, my good friend April, and my cousins in the valley were obsessed with New Kids on the Block. We had videos, sleeping bags, dolls, etc. Well awhile ago when we were in the valley we were playing a karaoke game with Brandy and it just so happened to have the song Step By Step, by the New Kids! Brandy and I thought that was so funny and of course had to sing it. Madi ended up loving that song and now sings it all the time! So, here is a little clip of her singing:

We had a really good Thanksgiving this year in the valley. Lots of food and family. We missed Brianne, Tim, & Jace but other than that we had fun. I was bummed about the after Thanksgiving sales though. There was nothing worth going to the store at 5 in the morning for. Brandy and I did that last year and had so much fun. We were so excited to do it again, but there was nothing we wanted to buy, so we just slept in. Brian decided though at 11 o'clock at night on Friday that we needed an Xbox and Guitar Hero, so he went and got that. It's so fun!! We are rockers now!

Here are some pictures we took at my parents on Thanksgiving day. I needed them for Christmas gifts and I think they turned out pretty good.

Last weekend we went to the Little Big Town/ Carrie Underwood concert with our awesome friends Brady and Stacie. We had so much fun!!! I didn't know a lot of Carrie's songs but she is such a great singer and she can play the guitar! (which I wish I could do, I don't know why, because I would have nowhere to play it, but it would still be cool!) Brian was a goober though, he brought a pocket knife in the arena and set the metal detector off so the security guard said he could put the knife in the car or through it away. So he decided to give it to the guard, because he was hungry and didn't want to walk all the way back to the truck. So needless to say the concert cost us more than we thought! About $90 more for a new knife! What am I going to do with him! I think it was just an excuse to get a new knife!

We had a lot of fun this Halloween! Talie and her kids, and Ben and Cindy came over for pizza, and then we got all the kids ready to go trick-or-treating. It was total craziness at my house, but worth it. I think everyone had fun!

Madi has been obsessed with Snow White ever since she saw Shrek 3. She loves the part where Snow White sings the Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song". She will dance and sing just like Snow White. This weekend we finally carved our pumpkins. I bought them a few weeks ago, but we just haven't had time to do it, So this last weekend I made us! We kind of have a problem with procrastinating, but at least they won't be rotten for Halloween! We had a lot of fun! We've carved pumpkins before with Madi, but she's only two so she doesn't remember, and she thought it was the funniest thing! And "yucky" and she said! She tried really hard to clean hers out but I think that it kind of grossed her out! I bought little ones for her and me, and a big one for Brian. Madi couldn't believe the inside of Brian's. She said it was very yucky and looked like spaghetti.

I love the Fall! I love cold weather, and my winter clothes! I love the smell of our fireplace and running in from the cold to a warm and cozy house! But I think my most favorite part is this:

FOOTIES!!! I love these pj's on my little girl! I get so excited for it to be cold, just so she can wear them.

And notice the lovely bruise on her head. That's a whole different story in itself! We were at my mom & dad's house for a couple days and she thought it was so funny to walk around with her silky over her head. Well about 2 minutes into it she ran into the wall. Of course she was screaming and mad, so you would think she wouldn't do it again right? WRONG! She then ran into the corner of the TV, and BAM! She had the biggest knot on her head I have ever seen! Poor girl! We got lucky though because earlier that day we got her pictures taken, so at least she didnt' have a big-ol-bruise for that!

Open House!

I just wanted to let everyone know that will be in Show Low October 4th, that it is the Show Low Fire and Police Departments' open House from 10am-2pm at the firestation. It should be really fun, with lots of games and things for the kids to do, and free food and soda, so what gets better than that! So come and you can also check out Brian's new shop! Hope to see you all there!

Camping

We went camping over the weekend. It was a blast!! Except for the bugs! I don't know what it was but they where everywhere! I know outdoors= bugs , but they were really bad this year! Anyways we got a portable DVD player just in case it rained, because what are you suppose to do with a 2 year old in a trailer, especially if it rains a lot! And it came in very handy! We got a flat tire on the trailer on the way up to Hanagan's Meadow, and it rained the first day, and then we got a flat on the way home on the trailer. So needless to say Madi was an angle because she had her movies to watch.

Madi loved her little Quad! As you can see though she had a hard time steering and ran into the trailer!

I bought her some play makeup to keep her busy, and boy did it! She looked glam the whole trip!

It was a fun trip and I do like to camp, but It's good to be home!!!!

Potty Training!!!

It's been awhile so I need to catch up! Well we've had a horrible time pottytraining Madi! She was doing so good from about the beginning of May to June and then all of a sudden it just STOPPED!!! Now she drives me crazy! If we go anywhere she sure wants to use the potty just because she wants to check out the bathroom. But at home notta!! So then I had a bright idea to make a potty chart, and if she filled it with stars she would get her favorite movie Peter Pan. Well about 4 months later she filled it up and got her movie, but is she potty trained? NO!!! Hopefully she will get it soon and good by to pull-ups!!!!

Kiddy Corral

We bought our house in October of 2007 and have always wanted to put up a fence so that the little ones would have somewhere to play. Well about 9 and a half months later it is finally finishes! HALLELUJAH!!!!!!! There is still a lot of work to do back there, but at least Madi and her cousins can wonder around now!

Homeless Children? That's Brody and Kaysie (Cousins) with Madi. My mom gave me a bunch of dresses from when I was a little girl, so I let them play dress up with them and don't they look gorgeous. Yay for the 80's.

They are sitting in the only toy we have in the back yard right now. Poor kids. It's one of those turtles you put sand in. Well we don't have any sand right now and we have tried 3 times to buy a swing set and trampoline. But we can't find any on the mountain with out spending a fortune, so this is it for now. They don't seem to mind though. I think anyways!

I think I finally have my blog like I want it. It only took me FOREVER!! Anyways everything is going good here. My grandma Thomas broke her hip last Thursday night so we have been in the valley visiting her. She is going to be okay so that is the good news.

My little sis Brianne and her family moved to Hawaii the beginning of July, she mailed this little outfit for Madi to me and I got it today
